"Back to the Nachos" is a game concept developed in 3 days, for the Itch.io Jam "Mini Jam 63: Future" with a small team composed of 2 Game Developers (Daniela Esposito, Denys Pashlokow) and one Sound Designer (Daniele Petrosino).

The concept was for a pixel-art, top-down-style puzzle game. The gameplay was in-fact focused on a timed puzzle challenge in which the main character (an unnamed alien) had to solve a series of concatenated puzzles (with the solution of a puzzle being the opening key of the next one) in the typical style of the escape room game genre. The player had a timer, displayed on the top-right of the screen, visualizing the time left to solve the enigma before the end of time and its consequent game over. All the puzzles were space-themed and based on crosswords and acronyms.

Within the context of this game design challenge, I collaborated as Visual Artist and Interaction Designer. As such I have developed all the visual assets present in the game demo and the game design of the different puzzles. Unfortunately due to the restrictive time constraints, we could not develop a full working demo, however "Back to the Nachos" positioned 4th in the category "Use of the Limitation", which refers to the use of this specific colour palette:

The game concept was developed in Unity and directly inspired by the Challenge theme: Future.
Please feel free to have a look at the game concept from its Itch.io game page.
